Participating in the Healing Work of God by telling the Story of Jesus in ways that help people identify the movement of the Holy Spirit in their personal & systemic realities.
At the heart of my consulting work is this: I love helping people discover Jesus. The God who took on human flesh, lived, died, and rose again, now invites all people to the Banquet in the Kingdom of God.
In Southeast Portland I am increasingly invited to come where our diverse church members live, work, study, and struggle. As we face issues honestly, we find genuine spiritual interest, helping people recover faith in Jesus, sustain it, or find it for the first time.
For this extra-church consulting and counseling, there is little or no compensation, and I welcome contributions to sustain and extend it!
Currently my UCM work is with four organizations:
Guest Teacher, Soul Formation (in partnership with Summer Mohrlang) Spiritual Direction and Training in Contemplative Spirituality for the Wholeness of Christian Leaders.
Founding Board Member, SoulRoots (in partnership with Rev. Joel To) Providing soul-care and spiritual formation to marginalized communities, people of color and helping professionals, preempting soul-depleting burnout.
Guest Teacher, Mosaic Scholars, George Fox University (in partnership with Dr. Carlos Fernandez) Bible Teaching and Spiritual Formation with BIPOC and 1st Generation College Students.
Chaplain, Defend Migrants Alliance (in partnership with Dr. Aileen Duldulao) Representing Jesus by honoring requests from Filipino American organizers to lead in prayer at public events, and telling the story of Jesus.
